1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "Attendee") and The General Public ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of our website thedopebbq.com (the "Site") and our event services, including DOPE BBQ (the "Events").
By accessing or using the Site, purchasing tickets, or attending our Events, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Site or attend our Events.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or attending our events.
2. Events Overview
DOPE BBQ is a cultural day party and event series produced by The General Public. Our events feature:
- Live DJ performances featuring Hip-Hop, R&B, Afrobeats, and Afro-Dancehall
- Food and beverage vendors
- Special guest appearances and performances
- Premium party experiences at various Brooklyn venues
All events are subject to venue capacity, local regulations, and our discretion. We reserve the right to modify event details, including but not limited to performers, venue, and timing.
3. Age Requirements
All DOPE BBQ events are 21+ ONLY. Valid government-issued photo ID is REQUIRED for entry. No exceptions.
Acceptable forms of identification include:
- Valid driver's license
- State-issued ID card
- Passport or passport card
- Military ID
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who cannot provide valid identification or appears to be using fraudulent ID.
4. Tickets and Entry
4.1 Ticket Purchases
Tickets for our Events are sold through authorized ticketing platforms, including posh.vip. All ticket purchases are subject to:
- The ticketing platform's terms of service
- Venue capacity limitations
- Our right to cancel or modify events
4.2 Ticket Transfers
Tickets may only be transferred through the official ticketing platform. We are not responsible for tickets purchased from unauthorized resellers or scalpers. Tickets obtained through unauthorized means may be cancelled without refund.
4.3 Guest List
Guest list requests submitted through our website are subject to approval and availability. Being on the guest list does not guarantee entry. All guest list attendees must still meet age requirements and comply with venue policies.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
5.1 Event Cancellation by Company
If we cancel an event, ticket holders will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their ticket to a future event. Refunds will be processed through the original ticketing platform.
5.2 Event Postponement
If an event is postponed, tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 14 days of the postponement announcement.
5.3 No Refunds for Attendee Cancellation
Tickets are generally non-refundable once purchased. If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket through the official ticketing platform. Please review the ticketing platform's specific refund policies at the time of purchase.
5.4 Denied Entry
No refunds will be provided if you are denied entry due to:
- Failure to provide valid ID
- Violation of venue policies or code of conduct
- Arriving after venue capacity is reached
- Intoxication or disorderly behavior
6. Code of Conduct
By attending our Events, you agree to:
- Treat all attendees, staff, and performers with respect
- Comply with all venue rules and regulations
- Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or violence
- Not possess or consume illegal substances
- Not bring weapons or prohibited items
- Follow instructions from event staff and security
Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate removal from the venue without refund and potential ban from future events.
7. Assumption of Risk
Attendance at our Events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Exposure to loud music and sound systems
- Physical contact in crowded environments
- Exposure to strobe lights and special effects
- Risk of injury from dancing or movement
By attending, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with event attendance and waive any claims against The General Public related to such risks.
8. Photo and Video Release
By attending our Events, you grant The General Public and its affiliates the right to:
- Photograph and record video of you at the event
- Use your likeness in promotional materials, social media, and marketing
- Edit, reproduce, and distribute such content without compensation
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please contact our staff at the event and avoid areas designated for photography.
9. Liability and Indemnification
9.1 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The General Public shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury not caused by our direct negligence
- Loss or theft of personal property
- Damage to vehicles in venue parking areas
- Disappointment due to event modifications
9.2 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The General Public, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to:
- Your attendance at our Events
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or regulation
- Your negligence or willful misconduct
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Content
All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, and software, is the property of The General Public or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright laws.
The "DOPE BBQ" name, logo, and associated branding are trademarks of The General Public.
10.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works from our content
- Use our content for commercial purposes without permission
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use our trademarks without written authorization
